TOP GUN 2006 LAKELAND, FL!
Mike received awards for Best Civilian Plane and Best Bi-Plane
During his speech, he expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the way everyone rallied
to his aid offering spare parts for his plane after the mid-air collision. He stated that
he was proud of the way that the members of this organization can forget that they are
competitors and help one another in a crisis.

Here are the shots of both of the planes before the mid-air collision and the incredible
shot by Steve Stone of the planes just before impact. Then the landings,
and finally Mike's plane flying again with duct tape on the wing...

10/12/05 We are in Phoenix. The trip went well all the logistics worked. Kurt and Lou drove my truck and trailer to Tuscon last week. They flew in the Tuscon Shootout. We flew via Southwest Airlines to Tuscon to pick up the rig and proceed to Phoenix for the Scale Masters Championships. We start tomorrow.

I won the Award for most realistic flight given by Airtronics and best bi-plane at the event. In the flying competition I finished 7th in Expert. I was also awarded a trophy for the best scale flights.
